How to Set the Climate Remotely (for Outlander)

You can turn on the climate inside the car by using the My Mitsubishi Connect Mobile App. The climate feature starts your vehicle’s engine, so it is important to ensure that the vehicle is parked in a safe and open location outside. You can start the climate before you leave home or work in advance to bring your vehicle to a comfortable temperature.

• Model Year 2024 and older: When starting the climate, the temperature is fixed at 75°F / 25°C.
• Model Year 2025 and newer: When starting the climate, you can set a desired temperature.

To function properly, ensure the following:

• Your phone and the vehicle must have good cellular coverage.
• Your vehicle must be located in an open area.
• The engine must be turned off and the vehicle gear in Park.
• All doors to the vehicle must be closed and locked using the key fob or the mobile app.
• The hood and trunk must be closed.
• The vehicle key must be outside of the vehicle.
• The brake pedal cannot be depressed.

If the remote operation is successful:

• The engine remains on for approximately 10 minutes.
• The climate control turns on the heater or air conditioner and brings the interior of the vehicle to a comfortable temperature.
• After 10 minutes, the engine turns off automatically. You can repeat the Remote Climate command one additional time.
• After sending two consecutive Remote Climate commands from the My Mitsubishi Connect App or if you have not started your vehicle's engine in the last 15 days, you will need to start your engine manually and drive a short distance over 8 km/h or 5 mph. This resets the Remote Climate counter so that you can send Remote Climate commands in the future.

Never start the Climate if the vehicle is located in a closed or poorly ventilated area. See the Owner's Manual for more information regarding carbon monoxide gas.

Remote Climate may be subject to state or local regulations governing engine idling or noise in the location of your vehicle. It is your responsibility to use Remote Climate safely and legally.

To set the climate:

1. Sign in to your account on the My Mitsubishi Connect Mobile App.
2. Select the fan icon at the bottom of the home screen.
3. Model Year 2025 and newer Outlander vehicles:
   1. Set the temperature on the dial by selecting and moving the indicator.
   2. Under Climate Setting, use the toggles to select which seats should be pre-heated.
   3. Under Climate Setting, use the toggles to select whether the Steering Wheel should be pre-heated and the Defroster(s) started.
   4. Select "Set."
4. Select "Start."
5. A warning appears and asks you to confirm if it is safe.
6. Select "It Is Safe."
7. A message appears that confirms the success or failure of your request.
