The Vehicle Finder feature uses GPS to locate your vehicle and display it on a map. You must be in an area with good connectivity. Your GPS must be enabled. The device communicates through a cellular network. Connection and signal strength may vary and be limited by location.
To find your vehicle using the My Mitsubishi Connect Mobile App, follow the steps below.
- Select the locate icon at the bottom of the home screen.
- Enter your security PIN when prompted. The Vehicle Finder page quickly displays the last known location of the vehicle.
- Wait about one minute for the status to refresh. The vehicle's current location is then displayed on the map.
- You can click the refresh icon at any time to see further updates to the status.
In Triton vehicles, the GPS location of the vehicle is kept up-to-date only if you have turned on "Share Vehicle Information." To view this setting on the infotainment screen, follow the steps below.
- Turn on the ignition.
- On the infotainment menu screen, press the "Info" button.
- From the Info screen, press "MITSUBISHI CONNECT Services."
- From the MITSUBISHI CONNECT Services screen, press "MITSUBISHI CONNECT Services."
- From the Settings screen, go to the second page. Then press "MITSUBISHI CONNECT Services."
- From the MITSUBISHI CONNECT Services screen, press "Vehicle Data Sharing."
- Next to "Share Vehicle Information," select "ON."
If you decline this option, then the Vehicle Finder will display the last captured location prior to turning off "Share Vehicle Information."
