Smart Route Planner combines the ability to define a driving route to a destination with the convenient ability to set the climate and send the route to the vehicle’s navigation system.
The basic process for using the Smart Route Planner is as follows:
- Define a route based on your Google calendar or by entering a destination.
- Note: Smart Route Planner may ask for permission to retrieve event details from your Calendar app.
- Add your starting point (current vehicle location) and stopping points (optional).
- Set your departure time and climate preferences.
- Begin your journey and refer to your vehicle’s navigation system for directions.
Here is some important information about route planning:
- You can store up to 10 reservations. If you add an 11th reservation, the oldest one will be removed automatically.
- You must plan and save your route reservations more than 30 minutes in advance.
- 30 minutes prior to the departure time, Mitsubishi Connect sends the destination to your vehicle’s navigation system. (When you begin your journey, note that your navigation system may recommend a different route.)
- 10 minutes prior to the departure time, Mitsubishi Connect starts the engine and starts the climate. Make sure your vehicle is parked in a safe and open location.
- You can receive notifications about the Smart Route Planner via Push, SMS, or email by customizing your Notifications under Account Settings.
