The Climate starts from three possible sources:
- You are in the car and you manually turn on the heater or air conditioner.
- You are outside the car and you use the mobile app to start the climate.
- You are outside the car and your scheduled climate starts the heater or air conditioner.
For Outlander PHEV vehicles, the remote climate feature uses the vehicle battery primarily. However, when the outside air temperature is lower than 15°F (-10°C), the remote climate feature starts the engine automatically to ensure heating performance. (If you are unsure whether your vehicle is eligible, please contact your dealer.)
For Eclipse Cross and Outlander vehicles, the remote climate feature automatically starts the engine.
To start the climate remotely:
- Sign in to your account on the My Mitsubishi Connect Mobile App.
- Select the fan icon.
- Outlander PHEV: Set the temperature on the dial by selecting and moving the indicator.
- Select "Start."
- A warning appears and asks you to confirm if it is safe.
- Select "It Is Safe."
For Outlander PHEV only: If the Climate operation is on, for example from a scheduled climate start, but you want to change the temperature:
- Sign in to your account on the My Mitsubishi Connect Mobile App.
- Select the fan icon.
- Change the temperature on the dial by selecting and moving the indicator.
- A message appears and asks you to confirm that you want to change the climate.
To stop the climate remotely:
- Sign in to your account on the My Mitsubishi Connect Mobile App.
- Select the fan icon.
- Select "Stop."
